Grip Faith

When He was in Jerusalem during the Passover festival, many believed in His name because they saw the signs that He was doing.  John  2:23

Folks around Jesus receive and see for themselves His healings, witnessed signs of truth in His words that He is God’s Son the Messiah Savior, and yet some around Him curiously do not grip faith that would become a permanent part of their lives.  Isn’t that curious and a bit sad?

They see who He is and what He does yet they seem to prevent their hearts from totally falling in love with Him and taking on the obedient joyful new relationship with Him.   Would that this would stop happening even today. Later in John’s Gospel Jesus says, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. (John 14:23)

The Lord sees right into our hearts and knows whether we are led by Him, if we are allowing ourselves to be totally loved by Him, and whether we yield to His transforming and spiritually maturing guidance with His Presence within us.  Two ways to stay in the grip of faith are Scripture study and prayer that makes home Holy.
