Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life. I am the bread of life. … I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever; and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh. John 6:47, 51
By saying ‘very truly’ Jesus is asking you to pay special attention and act on His true words. He is living Bread. Just as you eat any kind of regular bread, He instructs you to consume His Holiness through pure loving relationship with Him — you glorify Him with your life.
Offer spiritual Bread to others. Use your words to speak spiritual about Him often and with humble emphasis. With your actions not only immerse yourself in Scripture, also use Christ-like spiritual compassion to help and spiritually minister to others.
Jesus had you in mind as He died on the Cross and was Resurrected. Bread is spiritual food just as Christ is living salvation, hope, and the One who rights spirituality. His is a forever relationship for His promise to you is that He’s got you forever. Very truly believe on Him, with Him, for Him.
