How Much Does Jesus Love You?

Now a certain man was ill, Lazarus of Bethany, the village of Mary and her sister Martha.  Mary was the one who annointed the Lord with perfume and wiped His feet with her hair; her brother Lazarus was ill.  John 11:1-2

We take note that Jesus receives a message from Mary of Bethany that her brother is ill and it is this Mary who anointed Jesus with pure nard perfume, not Mary Magdalene.  Mary of Bethany knows who to go to for help and when she asks she highlights His love saying, “Lord, he whom You love is ill.”  We use these same words when we lift up someone who is ill, depressed, or sorrowing when we pray to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Responding, Jesus loves.

Jesus’ love moves Lazarus from death into Life, life in His Resurrection that is eternal.  Since Jesus can do that with His love just consider how He can help you with your needs and concerns.  You may ask, “Does Jesus have the exact same love for me that He had for His good friend Lazarus?”  For you answer look to the Cross He died upon.  He gave His life, with His love for you on His mind and in His heart, so that you not only have salvation but also by the power of the Holy Spirit you have Jesus Christ’s Presence within your soul.   Jesus loves you.
