Generosity Is Christ’s Middle Name

Jesus says, “And when He [Spirit of Truth] comes, He will prove the world wrong about sin and righteousness and judgment:  about sin, because they do not believe in Me;  about righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you will see Me no longer; about judgment, because the ruler of this world has been condemned.”  John 16:8-11

You are filled with the Holy Spirit (Christ began giving Holy Spirit to believers beginning at Pentecost)!  So what may the Spirit do through you?  First, the activity of the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, makes you alert, attuned to Jesus’ Presence, and alive in Christ’s Truth.  The Spirit makes sin repulsive to believers, so use this aversion while patiently offering Jesus’ salvation and love to ones who are against believing in Christ.  Secondly, the Holy Spirit guards you to not covet; open your heart, wallet, and desires to honor Christ in generosity.   Jesus says, “One’s life does not consist of the abundance of things he/she possesses.” Luke 12:15*

Generosity is Christ’s middle name!  Through Christ’s victory on the Cross satan has been trounced, condemned, squashed. Christ rules this world. Hold fast to faith while rejecting sin, unrighteousness, or bad judgements. Victory always and everywhere belongs to Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. In Christ you are the best you can be, dependent on Christ alone.

Speak to convice and convict first-timers to Christ’s salvation. Invite prodigals to return to Him.  Ask in Jesus Name so that blessings from the Spirit are poured out as you respond to the Spirit’s promptings to so what He needs you to do.

*Luke 12:13-21
