Jesus Prays To Be Glorified

Jesus looks up to Heaven and says, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son so that the Son may glorify You, since You have given Him authority over all people, to give eternal life to all whom You have given Him.  And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.  I glorified You on earth by finishing the work that You gave Me to do.  So now Father, glorify Me in Your own Presence with the glory that I had in Your Presence before the world existed.”  John 17:1-5

This is the first of three portions of Jesus Powerful Prayer where He prays for Himself, His followers, and the world.  Jesus asks for and receives God’s glory as He goes to the Cross, dies on the Cross, and He Resurrects.  As God our Heavenly Father glorifies our dear loving Savior Jesus we find in Jesus the sure intent to give us His salvation and eternal life.  Thank our awesome Savior.

Through Jesus’ gift of salvation on the Cross you receive eternal life as you fully believe that He is the Savior, the Son of the Living God. You believe, obey, and are in lifetime Spirit led learning.  Eternal life in Christ is present now within you and eternal life in Resurrection will be given to you at your death.  The eternal life that is alive within you now is related to the Holy Spirit’s Advocacy for you.  Ask the Spirit to fill you.

Jesus Christ is also now glorified within your heart, mind, and soul.   All of you belongs to Christ.  It is such with other believers in Jesus Christ as He has authority over all people since He created all people.  Give glory Christ with your life.
