And he [Peter] testified with many other arguments and exhorted them, saying, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.” So those who welcomed his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand persons were added. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. Acts 2:40-42

The Holy Spirit is like fire within the hearts of those who learn that all God’s prophecies about the Grand Plan come true in Jesus Christ Resurrected. This Living Spirit to which they respond to that day causes 3000 to be Baptized and fully anointed with the Spirit of Truth. We marvel not at the number of persons giving their lives in commitment to Christ but are in awe of the Holy Spirit’s power to convict, convince, and commandeer lives.

Peter’s great preaching which reveals Christ simply sows the understanding and the Spirit grasps their hearts to uplift them into the Almighty God’s Holy Presence. Christ is the only Way to God. Spirit is glorious! Spirit gives the complete fullness of God’s love for us, so much so that our longing for love is quenched and our joy excels in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The miracles and healings, the casting out of demons, the teaching which the apostles bestow to the new converts to Christ allow these folks to experience the first real freedom that they have ever experienced in their lives. It is such for you also. Christ’s freedom instills within you ways to use your faith in Him so that you are not afraid, timid, nor hesitant to use the Spirit. Using our faith boldly is what we do; the Spirit is on fire within us, believers in Jesus Christ Resurrected.
