Jesus Christ is Love

When Peter saw it, he addressed the people, “You Israelites, why do you wonder at this, or why do you stare at us, as though by our own power or piety we had made him walk? The God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, the God of our ancestors has glorified His Servant Jesus, whom you handed over and rejected in the presence of Pilate, though He had decided to release Him. But you rejected the Holy and Righteous One and asked to have a murderer given to you, and you killed the Author of Life, whom God raised from the dead. To this we are witnesses. Acts 3:12-15

Peter gives credit and praise to Jesus Christ, who healed the man born lame, then calls them to repent for killing the Son of God. Who killed Jesus? Those who have wholly rejected the One who God sent to save us. Similarly and sadly, when you choose to align yourself with the evil one then you have rejected God’s Son too and are in need of repentance.

Repentance is to be sorry for our sin then turn our whole selves unto Christ– Who willingly forgives, He accepts us just as we are, and He gives us unmerited love (grace). Jesus Christ is love. He then takes us to be His loved ones, marks us within with the sign of His cross, and fills us with Holy Spirit life. We experience new birth and from that moment on are committed to doing the work of the Kingdom of God.

God our Heavenly Father is so pleased by our new birth in Christ. To this I am witness.
