How Are We To Act?

With great power the apostles gave their testimony to the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. They laid it at the apostles feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need. Acts 4:33-35

The Resurrection of our Lord unites us in a Kingdom Principle– we share with our brothers and sisters so that needs are taken care of not only in the Spirit’s showers of blessings, but also in our generous giving. The blessings that the Spirit gives to you are the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23) and the gifts of the Spirit (Romans 12:6-8, 1 Corinthians 12:8-10, and 1 Peter 4:11) prominent in Scriptures.

All of the Holy Spirit comes to us through Jesus Christ’s Resurrection. This is your central belief upon which all of your faith centers. And then this poses the question. 1 Peter 3:8-9 answers the question: How am I to act? … have unity of Spirit, sympathy, love for one another, a tender heart, and a humble mind. Do not repay evil for evil or abuse for abuse; but on the contrary, repay with a blessing. It is for this that you were called– that you might inherit a blessing.

The blessing of the Holy Spirit is extended to others through you when you have spend large amounts of time in prayer with the Lord Jesus resulting in your heart being tenderized and your mind/soul becoming humbled. Like Christ humbled Himself and was Servant to the Heavenly Father for His Grand Plan, so too you are the Heavenly Father’s servant as all of you and everything you possess belongs to Christ.
