Even though they found no cause for a sentence of death, they asked Pilate to have Him killed. When they had carried out everything that was written about Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. But God raised Him from the dead; and for many days He appeared to those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, and they are now His witnesses to the people. Acts 13:28-31
Apostle John states, “They hated Jesus without cause,” (John 15:25) pointing out that hate is the propelling factor for the crucifixion of Jesus. Paul lifts up prophecy fulfilled, ‘when they had carried out everything that was written about Him,’ so that Paul’s listeners may see Scripturally who Jesus the Savior is to us.
All is important, yet Jesus’ physical Resurrection and that He appears to the men and women disciples after His Resurrection are monumental. There are living witnesses. This is fact. The forty days of Jesus’ appearances after His Resurrection carries sufficient weight with listeners. Jesus Christ is the Promised Messiah.
I believe in the physical Resurrection of Jesus and so does Paul. I believe that Jesus Christ appeared in bodily form after He was Resurrected and so does Paul. I believe this with every part of my being because Holy Spirit secures this within my soul. I know with surety that my eleven year old niece is beside the throne of Christ, that my Grandmother’s worship and praise at His throne continually, and that dearest family and friends who are in Christ thus remain in Christ eternally. I believe.
