Let it be known to you therefore, my brothers, that through this Man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you; by this Jesus everyone who believes is set free from all those sins from which you could not be freed by the law of Moses. Acts 13:38-39
Paul proclaims Jesus Christ’s Resurrection in similar word to Peter at Pentecost. Jesus has freed us with His forgiveness of sins. Why? Because of God’s love for us. At the very time you believe in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord you are forgiven.
You cannot do enough to earn forgiveness, say enough to warrant forgiveness, not work good enough to deserve forgiveness until Jesus Christ is your Savior. He is forgiveness. The law of Moses does not make a person truly forgiven; forgiveness is only found in Jesus Christ.
The law of Moses and Jesus Christ oppose each other; works and Grace. Through faith in Jesus Christ you receive His forgiveness and you are washed white as snow from darkest sins, your sins are forgiven, and you are a new being in Christ. Taking Him as Savior and Lord frees you to enter His Peace– Peace beyond understanding until you experience Peace from Him.
Simple, Powerful, Truthful
