The whole assembly kept silence, and listened to Barnabas and Paul as they told of all the signs and wonders that God had done through them among the Gentiles. Acts 15:12
After Peter speaks, Barnabas and Paul witness to Gentile conversions. But not only that, they witness to the wonders of God (which are the healing miracles) as they themselves prayed for others in Jesus’ Name and commanded evil spirits to flee just as Jesus had done.
I think back to my time in High School when many of us had been already going to Church and yet some of my friends had only been taken to Church on an every-once-in-awhile basis. When the irregular Church going friends started going regularly to their Church youth groups I witnessed their amazing conversions to Christ. They were saved, Baptized (some for a second time), extremely joyful, and read their Bibles daily with a fervor for the New Testament. They had a hunger for more of Jesus. Conversion lit them on fire with the Holy Spirit!
Also, throughout my life I have been first-hand witness to the healing miracles and wonders of Christ Jesus alive in our lives. I prayed continually with others for a man healed during one of the first heart surgeries in Albuquerque, a woman with an issue of blood was healed, and I spoke the prayer as Martha and I prayed for a woman with a brain tumor (confirmed already by her X-ray) and that next week was X-rayed again and her tumor had been removed by Jesus, and witnessed a man who had been in a severe car accident as his spine and bones were realigned, righted by Jesus. Healings and wonders due to the Holy Spirit’s Power during prayer. These I have seen and more.
As Barnabas and Paul told of all the signs and wonders that God had done through them among the Gentiles we join in the rejoicing. For, what a day it was when their witnesses were given before the assembly!
