Soldier’s Honor

You, having been set free from sin, have become slaves of righteousness.  Romans 6:18

The amazing transformation that occurs when Christ takes your life clearly shows.  Others see Him, love the new you, and are supportive of your right living.  You love to give–compassion, kindness, patience, and goodness.  You are also relieved of worry since Jesus does not fail you, He is faithful and true.  Not to worry is such a relief.

Apostle Paul writes that there are two slaves:  either you are a slave to sin or a slave to righteousness.  When you are a slave to right living then you have the honor to serve in Christ’s army of believers, as we may transpose ‘slave’ for ‘soldier.’  As a soldier does what he or she is told, is alert to what will be done in the Kingdom of God, and performs duty in honorable ways then you are making Christ proud.

Yet, you will be put to the test by temptation to act in nonbeliever ways.  Reject these as there will be may tests you will be challenged to pass as you stay true to your Savior.  Remember that He has given His all, His life, for you.  Stay strong in the Lord.
