Jesus said, “You must be born from above.”  John 3:7

Jesus is saying that you must have His New Birth and that happens in your soul when you completely yield yourself to Him, being sorry for not loving Him as you should and confessing your sins.  The New Birth comes about in your life through the Power of the Holy Spirit; Jesus’ transforming event.  You are energized with the Holy Spirit’s awakening to the rightness of Jesus’ Holy Presence alive in your soul.

After your New Birth, trusting God and relying on Jesus become habits.  For instance, take something that is foremost on your mind right now, pray giving it to Jesus Christ as the Holy Spirit amplifys your prayer so that the fullnesss of that prayer makes the angels sing, then let yourself rest in trust.  USE active faith– look for opportunities to step forward with faith using all of your faith energy, not to fix it, but to faith it.
