Jesus answered them, “I performed one work, and all of you are astonished. … are you angry with Me because I healed a man’s whole body on the Sabbath?”  John 7:21,23

A few religious leaders, who feel very protective of their personal power, want to discredit Jesus the Son Of God using His healing of the man at the Sheepgate Pool who had been an invalid for 38 years.  It was there that Jesus said, “Take up your mat and walk.”  John 5:11 and the man felt the Spirit move him to have confidence to do just that; receiving healing.  Notice in our Scripture today Jesus says that the man’s whole body was healed by Him, his WHOLE body!

Each and every day, today and tomorrow, Jesus is doing His heavenly Father’s work.  Expect Jesus Christ to heal today on Sunday, expect Jesus Christ to draw you unto Himself for healing any day of the work week, and expect that during the weekend Jesus is still about His heavenly Father’s business of healing.

So many of our injuries cannot be viewed by other people — like having had a Mother who died and the world celebrates Mother’s Day while you mourn your loss, or receiving hurtful words from your spouse or child that have cut to the quick and are difficult to forgive with immediacy, or perhaps a goal with which you have been led by God to reach for and once again failing and that sorrow is deep.  Jesus Christ, the Champion Of Love, has been where you are, He understands and wants you to come to Him.  He loves you so much that He offers to take your burden and lift it from your heart and mind if you will simply give it to Him in prayer and leave it with Him.
